A New Year

So yes, it has been quite some time since I last updated my blog and I apologize. Let me just catch everyone up on some of the projects I have worked on.
I painted to very large murals in Wilmington NC last year. Both were larger than 9ft high by 12ft wide. One may be seen in Luly's Cuban Cafe in Wilmington, NC off of Military Cutoff and the other in UNC-Wilmington's campus Game room.
After moving home and taking a bit of a break from major commissions, I started getting back into sketching people. I have now painted my brother and his new wife's portrait and it turned out really well. I also drew their funny caricatures as a bit of rehearsal gift.
I'm currently working on a project for another one of my newly wed friends. So far, so good.

Portraits

I prefer doing portraits and caricatures. If you want to commission me to draw, or paint, a portrait let me know.

I also can be commissioned to do caricatures at events, festivals or parties.

Charcoal

I love working with charcoal and pencils. I use dramatic lines and high contrast lighting with many of my drawings. Charcoal is raw, dramatic, and a stunning material to work with.
